Cynthia Johnson, OD
Dr. Johnson was born and raised on a farm 6 miles west of Hurley, SD. She is a graduate of Hurley HS then Augustana College in Sioux Falls before attending the University of Houston College of Optometry. In 1983, she graduated Gold Key Honor Society from UHCO. Her and her husband have been in their private optometric practice since 1983 in Vermillion.

Kevin M. Brown, OD
Dr. Brown was born in Auburn, NE and remains a Husker fan to this day. He is a graduate of Auburn HS and then attended Kearney State College in Kearney, NE before attending the University of Houston College of Optometry. He received both his BS from the University of Houston and Doctor of Optometry (OD) from UHCO in 1983. He and his wife have been in their private optometric practice since 1983 in Vermillion.

Sarah Malimanek Bruning - Clinic Administrator
Sarah is originally from Watertown, South Dakota where she graduated from high school. She attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion where she received her undergraduate degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Sarah lives in Vermillion with her husband, Scott, and daughters, Lexie and Miley. Sarah has been employed with Prairie Eye Clinic since October 2000. Sarah is ABO certified. ABO, the American Board of Opticianry, certifies opticians--those who dispense and work with spectacles.

Tina Girard
Tina grew up in Elk Point, SD and graduated from Elk Point-Jefferson High School in 2000. She then went to school in Sioux Falls for cosmotology at Hair by Stewarts and graduated in 2001. She worked as a hair stylist/cosmotologist for 5 years before starting with Prairie Eye Clinic August of 2006. She lives in Jefferson with her husband, Jesse and son, Grayson. Tina is ABO certified.

Candie Brown
Candie was born and raised in Marietta, MN. She graduated from LacQui Parle Valley High School. Candie attended Ridgewater Community College in Willmar, Minnesota where she received a medical admin/secretarial degree. She moved here from Minneapolis, MN, where she worked in a dermatology office for six years. Candie lives here in Vermillion with her husband, Jeff, and started with Prairie Eye Clinic in March 2005.

Megan was raised in the Vermillion area and Madison, SD. She graduated from Madison High School in 2000. She attended the University of South Dakota for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Megan lives in Vermillion with her husband, Jon. Megan started with Prairie Eye Clinic in March 2010.

Crystal Evens
Crystal moved to Vermillion from Illinois where she worked in the promotional marketing industry for 12 years. She is a graduate of Vermillion High School and attended Winona State University in her birth town of Winona, MN. Crystal started with Prairie Eye Clinic in June 2010.
